The World Cup match ball will look a little different in the semi-final between England and Argentina tonight.
Fans are used to seeing the Trionda in different colors but adidas is now introducing gold, white, and shiny black for the semi-finals as well as the bronze and finals of the World Cup.

It is the first time in the history of FIFA that a completely new football has been introduced specifically for the final stages.
Kylian Mbappe was unable to add to his tally in the hunt for the Golden Boot with a golden-looking ball and instead, Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro scored as Spain beat France in the first semi.
Now it is the fans of England who will notice the new ball when the national team plays against Argentina in the second semi final of the World Cup.
The next match is England vs Argentina
The adidas football for the last four games has been made specifically for this historic game, their record of head-to-head matches over the years has evoked classic games.
Among other things, the ball contains the first information related to both nations.
Beyond the gold color, there are pictures and writing to celebrate the final four host cities – Atlanta – where Lionel Messi will play for England for the first time – as well as Miami, Dallas, and New York.
Additionally, it includes the name of every city that hosted a game during the tournament across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with each location woven into it.

Smart ball
Most importantly, while the visuals have changed, the aerodynamics remain the same as the teams prepare their games to define the competition.
The Trionda still has the same four-panel design, shape, and texture as the previous model.
In addition, football uses AI to collect real-time data about each game, and the new model will continue to use this innovation.
When players kick it, data is collected from sensors around the field to record every movement.
The internal sensor can track up to 500 times per second, allowing referees to make faster and more accurate VAR decisions.
It also means fans can see advanced stats, such as which goal was kicked the hardest, or which went the fastest.
The technology has made headlines with its embedded chip, which can detect that the ball has touched a foreign object.
For example, when England faced Norway, people suggested that the ball hit the camera wires when Jude Bellingham’s first goal was scored, which under FIFA rules should have been disallowed.
However, FIFA reviewed the data and confirmed that there was no peak in the graph of the ball’s internal heart rate sensor, proving that the goal was legal.
Now Bellingham and his teammates will be hoping that there are no problems with Argentina’s game and they can secure a place in the finals within 90 minutes.
