The New England Revolution will host Atlanta United at Gillette Stadium on Saturday as both sides continue their MLS regular season campaign.

The Revolution, who sit eighth in the Eastern Conference, will be looking to end a two-game winless streak, while Atlanta United will travel to Foxborough looking to secure their first win at Gillette Stadium since 2018.

The New England Revolution resumed their 2026 MLS regular season campaign with a draw against Toronto FC at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday as they returned from the FIFA World Cup break, having earlier lost 1-0 to ten-man Charlotte FC in May despite the hosts playing almost the entire second half with numbers problems.

Marko Mitrovic’s side have won three of the last six games, drawn one and lost two, but now they have failed to win or score in consecutive games for the first time this season.

The Revolution have struggled at Gillette Stadium, losing one of their nine home league games this season while recording seven wins and one draw, and sit three points behind Eastern Conference leaders Nashville SC in the home form table.

They will look to make home advantage count again when they host an Atlanta United side they have beaten in recent meetings.

New England are unbeaten in their last four games against Atlanta and will be aiming to extend the streak to five games, having lost once in their last 11 meetings with the Five Stripes while recording eight wins and two draws.

Atlanta United faces another tough week, with Saturday’s trip to New England marking their third game in eight days after games on July 18 and July 23.

Results have been hard to come by for Tata Martino’s side, who have gone six games without a win in all competitions, drawing two and losing four, a run that has left the Five Stripes 29th in the MLS standings overall and near the foot of the Eastern Conference.

Their resilience was tested in Thursday’s meeting with Charlotte FC after they trailed 2-0 at halftime and looked set to lose again.

However, Atlanta put in an impressive performance as Elias Baez pulled one back in the 57th minute after meeting Tomas Jacob’s through ball, before former Newcastle United midfielder Miguel Almiron equalized in the 76th minute to secure a goal. 2-2 in the tie and ending a streak of losing three games in a row.

The Five Stripes now head to the Northeast, where they will try to improve on their recent poor record against the Revolution.

New England could be without Ethan Kohler after the defender was forced off with a suspected injury in the 86th minute against Toronto, starting with Mamadou Fofana in defense before being replaced by Bryan Ceballos, who is expected to play if needed.

The hosts are expected to be without Leo Campana, Andrew Farrell and Ilay Feingold, all of whom are out with lower back injuries.

Atlanta got a boost when Miguel Almiron returned from the FIFA World Cup to captain the team against Charlotte, marking his return with his first MLS goal of the 2026 season.

Goalkeeper Lucas Hoyos also produced an impressive performance, becoming the second MLS goalkeeper since the start of tracking in 2010 to record seven or more saves, a win and a chance created in a single game, while Martino gave Ignacio Suarez-Couri, 17, 17, and new signing Alonso his first club debut.

However, Atlanta will be without Tomas Jacob after he collected his fifth yellow card of the season against Charlotte, resulting in a one-game suspension.

Pedro Amador (Achilles), Paulo Diaz (undisclosed), Jay Fortune (hamstring) and Sergio Santos (calf) are still unavailable, while Matt Edwards is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

The visitors will be confident of their strong comeback against Charlotte and could trouble the Revolution going forward, but New England’s high form and home advantage should be enough to see them into an entertaining contest.
