Game preview

Throughout the tournament, Marta Kostyuk has been getting the job done, and is now just two wins away from claiming her first Grand Slam title.

Another win on Thursday would be her first major final, having lost to French Open semi-finalist Mirra Andreeva in straight sets this year.

In his quarter-final match, Kostyuk looked unstoppable in action, winning 89% of his first games and 73% of his second games.

At Wimbledon this year, he won all but one of his opening sets, while winning more than 70% of his opening games in four of his five matches.

He has converted three or more break points in each of his matches en route to the semis, but lost his only contest in the second round.

Thursday will be his fifth singles semifinal appearance this year, and the twelfth seed in this year’s tournament will advance three of those last four.

For the first time in her career, Linda Noskova advanced to the semi-finals of the Grand Slam singles competition, which came at a very important time on Wednesday.

The Czech won 80% of his opening games against Mertens while hitting seven aces to advance.

This upcoming clash will be her fifth appearance in the singles semi-finals in 2026, with Noskova advancing three times in those events this year.

At Wimbledon this time, he won more than 70% of his opening games except for one game, while conceding just one break point combined in his last two games.

He won only two tournaments at Wimbledon this year and also over 50% of the second served in each of his matches.

Noskova has scored more than 20 points in all of her outings, including an impressive 37 in her quarter-final match on Wednesday.

Go straight to the head

Madrid Open (2026) – Quarter-final: Kostyuk won 7-6 (7-1) 6-0

The only meeting between the two took place in the Spanish capital earlier this year, where Kostyuk came out on top, winning 70% of his first games and converting seven break chances.

We say: Kostyuk to win in three sets

This will be a fight to the finish, but we hope that Kostyuk’s great tests at Wimbledon so far and his overall endurance will help him reach the limit in this tournament.
