France has been accused of ‘giving up’ as Spain prepares for the World Cup final against England
Spain left France shocked on Tuesday night as they easily booked their place in the World Cup finals.
The European champions comfortably beat Les Bleus 2-0 in Texas to reach their first final since winning the competition in 2010.

France were the favorites before the tournament and are the most likely to lift the trophy to the semi-finals.
However, after winning all six games before reaching the semi-finals, they were beaten by Luis De La Fuente’s Spain, which ended Didier Deschamps’ managership in tears.
And that means La Roja have booked their place at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday to face either England or Argentina, live on talkSPORT.
France is ‘their shadow’
Spain took the lead after 22 minutes in the semi-final, which came when Lucas Digne fouled Lamine Yamal in the box.
Yamal took a kick to the chest from Digne after the young star stepped in to stop the reluctant concession.
Mikel Oyarzabal scored from the spot, scoring his fifth World Cup goal so far for his country.
In the first half Spain had five shots, two big chances and an extra ball, leaving France with nothing to shout about.
That continued in the second half, as Kylian Mbappe and others. struggled spectacularly to create any chances.
Ally McCoist said during the match: “France looked like the shadow of a team we have seen in this tournament so far.
And things got worse when Tottenham defender Pedro Porro headed Spain’s second after 58 minutes.

Porro scored his second goal for La Roja to double his nation’s tally and put one foot in the World Cup final.
Les Bleus are accused of surrendering
Former Scotland assistant Mark McGhee then told talkSPORT as the game ended for Les Bleus: “I can’t see what will happen when I go back to France. Something amazing has to happen.
“You don’t want to say it, but it seems to me, sitting here right now, that France has given up on this, as you know, Argentina has not done that. [against Egypt].”
And he proved to be right, as France continued to struggle in front of goal and Mbappe was booked for venting his anger.
They scored just three goals in the game, the first of which came in the 81st minute – a shocking tally for a nation that had scored 16 goals in the previous six games.

England waiting?
Spain will face either England or Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday, July 19 at 8pm UK time.
The Three Lions take on Lionel Messi and co. on Wednesday night, when the winner completes the show’s series.
