Everton expand sponsorship portfolio in partnership with Christopher Ward

July 9 – Everton have expanded their sponsorship portfolio for the third time this week after naming luxury watchmaker Christopher Ward as their first official training kit partner.

The multi-year deal also cements a relationship that has grown rapidly since Christopher Ward first joined Everton as the club’s full-time international partner. The brand is already a shirt sponsor, founding partner of Hill Dickinson Stadium and commercial partner of Everton Women and Everton in the Community.

That place has now been taken by former shirt partner Stake, who, given the Premier League’s income restrictions on gambling sponsors, puts a clock on the training kit.

From the start of next season, its marketing will be seen on the men’s and women’s first team training kit, extending to the academy next year. The deal also includes branding throughout Everton’s training ground, match day inventory and retail training wear.

The club confirmed financial firm CMC Markets as its new shirt sponsor last week.

Andrew Middleton, Everton’s President of Business Operations, said: “Christopher Ward has been a bold, innovative and committed partner for Everton, and we are delighted to see that relationship continue to grow with this landmark deal.

Becoming the first official training kit partner is an important step. It not only demonstrates the strength of the partnership, but puts Christopher Ward directly in the position where our teams prepare, develop and strive for excellence every day, while providing valuable global exposure through training and match day work.

“From his role as Founding Partner of the Hill Dickinson Stadium, to the creation of 53° North and their support of Everton Women and Everton in the community, Christopher Ward has always shown a real understanding of the club, our supporters and our aspirations for the future.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Mike France and Christopher Ward’s team as we build on this partnership and explore new opportunities together in this exciting next chapter for the club.”

Mike France, CEO and founder of Christopher Ward, added: “We believe excellence is built on the tiniest details – whether it’s the precision of a mechanical watch or the subtle benefits that define football.

Becoming Everton’s first training kit partner feels like the next natural step in our journey together. It builds on our presence both on and off match day by embedding us even more in the club – in the day-to-day environment where performance really takes shape, behind the scenes on the training ground.

“That’s something we deeply recognize in watchmaking: the discipline, precision and constant refinement that lives beneath the surface. There is a real harmony between our worlds, built on time and a never-ending drive to improve.”
