David Moyes has been offered a new job just weeks before the start of the Everton season
Alan Brazil has backed two candidates to be Scotland’s next manager.
The national team job is currently vacant following Steve Clarke’s exit this summer.

Clarke resigned as manager following Scotland’s group stage exit from the World Cup.
Despite signing a new four-year contract ahead of the tournament, the 62-year-old ended his seven-year spell in charge in June.
A replacement has yet to be announced by the Scottish FA, although Roberto Martinez is understood to be involved.
Brazil have now successfully lined up Ally McCoist and David Moyes should they be chosen to step into Clarke’s shoes.

The former Scotland striker joined Shebahn Aherne and Gabby Agbonlahor on Thursday’s talkSPORT Breakfast.
McCoist admitted on Wednesday that he would never turn down the chance to manage the national team.
As a player, the Rangers boss scored 19 goals in 61 appearances for Scotland but has been out of action since leaving Ibrox in 2014.
Asked about the prospect of McCoist taking over, the Brazilian explained: “Ally is crazy about Scotland. Rangers are his first team, but when it comes to Scotland, absolutely.
“And Ally, I think you’ve been treated badly at Rangers, what’s going on, the cuts, the layoffs and all that.
“Anyone who hears Ally on telly, the commentary, his opinion on the game, what is happening and how it should be, how you can change in exchange and so on, Ally is visible.

“He’s as good as anyone, if he’s not the best person there, as far as I’m concerned, why wouldn’t he (be the next Scotland manager), he won’t agree.
“If he says no that will be headlines, it won’t be about his tree in his garden, he gets pelters for that.
“If he refuses in Scotland it will be very bad, so I’m with him, don’t worry.”
McCoist won two promotions in three years as Rangers manager between 2011 and 2014, both coming as champions.

Brazil also spoke about the suggestion that Moyes could replace Clarke as Scotland manager.
The Everton coach is currently preparing for the new Premier League season after finishing 13th with the Toffees last season.

His team begin their campaign at home to Crystal Palace on August 22.
The Brazilian continued: “He has never worked as long as in training, and they are talking about David Moyes.
“David Moyes could do a good job, make no mistake, but if you think about Scotland, the way we played and the fans were fantastic.
“They deserve a lot and it’s not the fault of the players, it’s just the players. If you look at Switzerland, look at Norway, the youngsters they bring and how well they’re doing, then look at Scotland and what we’re doing.
“I’m sorry that there is something wrong with Scottish children not achieving at the highest level.
“Young kids go back and forth to the top teams in the Premiership, that’s not the case anymore. In the past, there was always one in each club.

“So whoever started this new revolution in terms of coaching and academies and stuff like that in Scotland, tear it up and start over because it’s not enough and the fans deserve better.”
Despite defeating Haiti in the opening match of the World Cup, Scotland failed to reach the knockout stage in North America.
It means they have now failed to progress to the group stage in all 13 of their major competitions.
This summer’s final was the first World Cup since 1998 after 28 years of waiting to enter.
