A key factor behind Pulisic’s contract decision
Before committing his future to Milan, it is reported that Pulisic wants to fully explore Ruben Amorim’s sporting project at the club, like saying Athletic. The American’s current contract runs until 2027, and the Italian side also have the option to extend the deal for another season. The club’s management, however, are reportedly hoping to sign him to a much longer deal in 2030 or 2031.
As his 28th birthday approaches in September, Pulisic understands that his next contract could be the last big deal of his career. Reports suggest that he prefers to take his time before making such an important decision rather than rushing into an extension.
The situation has also changed a lot since he went to the World Cup. Milan now has a new leadership, a new coaching staff, and a completely different sporting direction under Amorim, making the coming months an important period of evaluation for the American.
