Liverpool fan tells club to avoid signing Vinicius Jr because 17-year-old star would be better

Liverpool would not sign Vinicius Jr because Rio Ngumoha will surpass him as one of the best footballers in the world.
That’s the confident view of a Reds fan, who called into talkSPORT following news of Arsenal’s interest in Vinicius Jr.

The Premier League champions are expected to look to sign the Real Madrid winger this summer.
Vinicius Jr, considered one of the best players in the world, is in the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu.
Liverpool were offered the chance to sign the 26-year-old, but chose not to proceed with the deal.
Fan Paul has explained that there is no need for them to do so, because he believes that youth music star Ngumoha is the real one.
“There are two reasons why Liverpool would not sign a player like Vinicius Jr,” he told The Transfer Insiders. “Number one, he’s a bad seed in the dressing room.
“But, more importantly, he’s not that close to what Rio Ngumoha will be, he’s not close.”
Ngumoha signed for Liverpool from Chelsea in 2024 and has played a total of 30 games for the club.
He scored the winner in a 3-2 win over Newcastle United on his Premier League debut in August.
The winner then became the youngest player to score his first goal at Anfield in a 2-0 win over Fulham.
England coach, Thomas Tuchel, then gave him his first international match when they won 1-0 before the World Cup against New Zealand.

The other side of the coin
Arsenal are yet to take part in club-to-club talks for Vinicius Jr, who has 128 goals and 100 assists for Madrid in 375 games.
He is also viewed as the Gunners’ first-choice target.
However, with Madrid working to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, the chances of Vinicius Jr leaving could increase.
It would be a statement signing for Arsenal, and one Gunners fan even said he could reach godlike status.
“I have to balance a little bit, because it’s obvious that it’s still a long way off,” said Nicholas when asked about his interest in the deal.
“But it will be the first time, I think in our history, that we have signed not only a top player, but also a top player from one of the biggest teams in European football.

“It doesn’t happen, usually it’s the other way around. We’re used to Manchester City and Real Madrid selecting all our best players.
“It wasn’t too long ago that we had to sell players because we couldn’t keep them, even if we had a good fit. Now, we are the champions of the Premier League, the best team in England.
“And we have a unique opportunity because he only has one year left on his contract.
“Real Madrid will not be able to let one of their biggest assets go to waste, so everything depends on what Vini wants.
“Do you want to be number 2 for Real Madrid, number 2 for (Kylian) Mbappe?
“Or do you want to come to Arsenal and be the God of football?”
