Steps have been taken in an effort to reduce advertising however some of the most savvy parties seem to have found a loophole in the system.
Manchester United has been accused of creating “an environment where loyal fans fear losing their relationship with a club built over decades”.
A joint statement on behalf of all United fan groups condemned the club’s new policy.
Fan rage
It read: “The issues raised are not about protecting ticket advertising or the exploitation of the club’s ticketing system.
“Professionals, shoplifters and those who exploit fans for money have no place at Manchester United and deserve strong action.
“However, that action must be fair, balanced and transparent.
“Fans who have followed Manchester United for decades, often for multiple generations of the same family, should never feel treated like suspects without clear evidence, due process or a reasonable opportunity to respond to the allegations against them.
“The current approach has created a growing impression among supporters of ‘ban first and ask questions later’.
“It’s not a way to build trust, and it doesn’t match the standards of impartiality that loyal fans expect from their football club.
“An investigation must reveal the facts before sanctions are imposed, especially when the potential outcome is the loss of a season ticket and a relationship with the club that has been built up over decades.

“The fans’ forum has asked the club to temporarily suspend the release of tickets and halt any cancellation of season tickets while meaningful negotiations take place.
“We fully support that request. It is in the best interests of the club and its fans to take the time to review the current approach, communicate with fan representatives and restore confidence.”
The systems in place at Manchester United look at the accounts used by seven different people as possible.
It then flags the account for further investigation.
A Manchester United source explains it all
United sources say their system won’t flag malicious activity and that no ticketing process requires a patron to access someone else’s account.
The club wants tickets to be bought and resold through authorized channels.

United has denied the moves are designed to raise revenue or reduce the number of season ticket holders.
Instead, they confirmed that any canceled season tickets will be reassigned to someone on the season ticket waiting list.
Fans affected by the policy have been sent a request for information.
Any penalties will not come until fans respond or 14 days have passed without a response.
United have told fans that no sanctions will be imposed as long as there is a clear explanation.
The dispute is likely to create tension between fans and the club following a number of contentious decisions including a mid-season ticket price increase during the 2024/25 campaign.
There was also chaos when season ticket holders in the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand were moved to another area of the stadium to make room for more seating.
