Iraola understands he must remain humble after taking over from Arne Slot at Liverpool.
Before his first season in charge, he said: “I need to prove myself and let everyone know that I belong here, that I have the quality to live here, that I have the quality to train Liverpool.
“That’s my short-term challenge. Once you go through the process and everyone understands that you belong, everything becomes easier – from the players, the fans, the media and the opposition.
“But you have to go through the process. I’m very confident and I think I’m ready for what I know is a big challenge.
“When I came here, the owners told me that everything is wrong.
“They said we will have some challenges, we will have to replace important players who are leaving, some are injured, but we are here to solve these problems and increase what we have.
